Regulatory Affairs Executive
Join our team as a Regulatory Compliance professional and play a key role in managing regulatory matters, government relationships, and compliance initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies and regulatory bodies such as KKM, MCMC, KKOM, SIRIM, JAKIM, KPDN and other industry authorities.
Ensure that compliance programs are effective in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting non-compliance across the organisation.
Prepare and submit required documentation such as annual financial reports, license renewals, and statutory reports to relevant authorities.
Stay up-to-date with laws, regulations, and guidelines issued by relevant authorities.
Oversee the implementation and monitoring of the compliance program, work plan, and framework.
Respond promptly to regulatory inquiries and requests from government agencies and law enforcement bodies.
Policy Analysis & Implementation:
Analyse new and existing regulations, assessing their impact on the organisation’s operations, products, and services.
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
Lead the development and periodic review of the organisation's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to regulatory compliance.
Project Management & Reporting:
Manage cross-departmental projects related to regulatory compliance, such as systems enhancements or industry-specific initiatives.
Oversee the development and improvement of compliance-related tools, including user interface designs and technical specifications.
Monitor and report on compliance activities, ensuring effective documentation and timely submissions.
Relationship Building & Representation:
Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
Represent the organization in regulatory discussions, industry conferences, and public inquiries.
Foster collaborations with strategic partners and other industry players to support the organization’s initiatives and objectives.
Training & Awareness:
Conduct training sessions and briefings for internal teams to promote awareness of relevant regulatory frameworks.
Act as the point of contact for regulatory updates and disseminate information within the organization to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Public Policy, or related field.
1–3 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, government affairs, or stakeholder management.
Strong understanding of Malaysia’s regulatory environment, including MCMC, KKOM, KPDNHEP, and AMLA.
Experience in regulatory documentation, compliance audits, licensing, and government liaison.
Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
Proficient in Excel and Power BI; familiarity with CCEP or ISO compliance training is an advantage.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Willing to travel for regulatory meetings and engagements.
